On which nights do you race?
Monday, Friday and Saturday evening

What time is the first race?
The first race on Mondays is at approximately 6.29pm, Fridays approximately 6.22pm and Saturdays at approximately 7.25pm on Saturdays. 

What time do the turnstiles open?
Turnstiles open at 6.00 pm.

Do you have a car park and can coaches park there?
Ample free car parking is available for bona fide customers of Nottingham Greyhound Stadium. The Stadium does not accept any liability for any damage to, theft from, or loss of vehicle howsoever caused. Vehicles are parked entirely at the owners risk. There is plenty of space for coaches and minibuses.  Overnight parking is not permitted. Vehicles may be removed. the distribution of leaflets and/or printed materialis strictly prohibited on the Stadium site and on the car park.

How many races are there?
There are usually between 13 - 15 races in an evening meeting.

What time is the last race and what time does the Stadium close?
Approximately 09.40pm on Mondays, 10.08pm on Fridays and 10.37pm on Saturdays. The Stadium and all car parks need to be closed by 11.20pm on Saturday's, 10.40pm on Friday's and 10.20pm on Monday's.

What happens if it is raining?
Greyhounds race in all weather so rain or shine we will be open. We have large indoor areas with live television coverage of the racing so you wont miss any of the action.

Do I need to book and pay in advance for Restaurant and Trackside Packages?
All Classics Restaurant and Trackside bookings require full payment, in advance and in accordance with our terms & conditions of booking.  There are sometime a limited number of seats available in the Restaurant for walk in's but these are not guarenteed. 

What happens when I arrive at the stadium and do I need tickets?
For Classics Restaurant bookings go to turnstile No. 3 where your name will be on the gate list. Tickets for Trackside bookings can be collected at Turnstile No.4.(ID required). If you do not have a booking with us simply come along and pay general admission at the gate.

Where is the restaurant situated?
Classics Restaurant is situated on the first floor of the Stadium. Racing is shown on large TV screens throughout the restaurant.

Is there a dress code in operation?
Smart casual. Persons wearing fancy dress or other clothes, which in the managements opinion is deemed inappropriate, will be refused entry or required to leave the stadium. Where fancy dress is permitted, photographic ID must be provided and a form completed. No face masks, hoods or helmets to be worn on the premises at anytime.

Do you have private boxes for hire?
We have private boxes which can cater for groups of upto 24, 48 and 68 and these boxes can be combined for parties of upto 116.

Can you cater for large parties and/or corporate events?
We can cater for large parties, both in our Classics Restaurant and as part of our Trackside Packages. We can cater for 390 people in Classics Restaurant.

Can I sponsor a race?
A variety of race sponsorship packages are available, you can call the general office for more details.

Can I purchase a video, DVD or photograph of a race presentation? 
A digital copy of the presentation photo is included in the sponsorship package. DVD's can be purchased from the general office on the first floor. Or online at

Can I set up a bar tab?
Your waitress can set up a bar tab for diners in Classics Restaurant. Bar tabs must be settled on the evening. Bar tabs cannot be set up in the paddock bar downstairs.

What time does the bar close?
The bars close after the last race has finished on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Can you accommodate wheelchairs?
Wheelchairs can be accomodated both in Classics Restaurant (please advise on booking) and in the main public areas. A lift is available and there are disabled toilets situated on both levels of the stadium.

Is there a cash machine?
Yes, The cash machine is situated in the first floor bar area. Unfortunately the cash machine will not accept credit cards which charge a fee for cash withdrawals. We are sorry for this incovenience but this is out of our control. There is a charge for all withdrawals which is set by the cash machines provider.

Do you serve fast food?
There is a snack bar serving a variety of hot and cold food situated on the ground floor of the stadium.

Do you race on any other days?
We race every Tuesday morning. First race 11.03am. Admission Free. Gates open 10.30am.

Can I bring children?
Children are admitted for £1 within the care of a supervising parent. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to purchase or drink alcohol or to place a bet. It is also an offence for an adult to place a bet or purchase alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18 years. Children are not permitted at the bar counters.

Do I need to bring ID with me?
We operate a Challenge 21 policy. If you are lucky enough to look 21 or under you will be asked to provide ID to prove that you are over 18 should you seek admission to the Stadium with a Six Pack ticket, if you attempt to place a bet or if you attempt to purchase alcohol. It is illegal for anyone under 18 to place a bet. Alcohol will not be served to, and cannot be consumed by, anyone under 18. Any person attempting to place a bet, or purchase alcohol, on behalf of anyone under 18 will be required to leave the premises. The only acceptable forms of ID are a current valid photocard full/provisional driving licence or a current valid passport.
